We are especially aware of the different needs for worship and our services reflect this. They range from a quiet meditative Communion service on a Wednesday morning at 10.15am to Family Centred Worship, a modern service each Sunday at 3.00pm. On every Sunday there is a sung Parish Eucharist at 9am. Our Family Centrred Worship is short, interactive and thought provoking for people of all ages, with the aim of encounter God in an informal setting. There is also traditional (BCP) Evensong on most Sundays. Please see calendar for changes to this.
We are the people of God developing and nurturing as Christian disciples, open to God and open to people. We have a shared responsibility to use our gifts for the whole of church life, within our parish, within the locality and in the wider world.
IN OUR CHURCH WE:-
· Grow warmer through fellowship
· Grow deeper through understanding
· Grow stronger through worship
· Grow broader through serving
· Grow larger through sharing the message.

Weddings & Baptisms
St. Michael’s does not insist that you are a churchgoer in order to have your child baptised, although such a commitment would make sense within our church family. Please do not hesitate to come forward and discuss this with the Clergy.
St. Michael’s provides a good setting for a wedding. We will be happy to assist with your arrangements, choice of music etc. If you are getting married elsewhere, do not forget that you may need to have your Banns (notice of intent to marry) read in St. Michael’s.
St Michaels is part of the part of the Team Ministry of Atherton and Hindsford with Howe Bridge, and Weddings & Baptisms can be arranged by visiting the 'surgery' at Atherton Parish Church Vestry which is held every Tuesday from 7pm to 8pm.
