Welcome to Atherton St. George's home on the internet. We are a family orientated church and we have strong and close link with St. George's Primary School

Weddings & Baptisms
St Georges, Atherton does not insist that you are a churchgoer in order to have your child baptised, although such a commitment would make sense within our church family. Please do not hesitate to come forward and discuss this with the Clergy.

St Georges, Atherton provides a good setting for a wedding. We will be happy to assist with your arrangements, choice of music etc. If you are getting married elsewhere, do not forget that you may need to have your Banns (notice of intent to marry) read in St Georges, Atherton.

St Georges, Atherton is part of the part of the Team Ministry of Atherton and Hindsford with Howe Bridge, and Weddings & Baptisms can be arranged by visiting the 'surgery' at Atherton Parish Church Vestry which is held every Tuesday from 7 to 8pm.
